Cambodia’s Angkor Wat Temple Ranked As The 1st Place of World’s Best Landmark 2018
Phnom Penh- The Angkor Wat temple of Cambodia has been ranked as the first place of World’s Best Landmark 2018 by TripAdvisor.
Cambodia’s Angkor Temple was ranked as the first place among the 25 popular historical buildings in the world for 2018, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Tourism.
The announcement stated that, “On May 22, 2018, TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice announced that TripAdvisor surveyed the interests and points of view of million international tourists around the world for 12 months and ranked Cambodia’s Angkor Temple (The 1st Place of World’s Best Landmark for 2018” among the 25 well-known historical buildings in the world for 2018”.
The Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with Apsara Authority, Siem reap Provincial Authorities and TripAdvisor will host a big event in front of Angkor Wat Temple and Congratulatory Party with dancing at Pub Street on 09th August 2018, in order to congratulate the meaningful pride as well as continue to more widely promote Cambodia’s popular cultural and historical destinations to the world.
This is the 5th consecutive years that Angkor Wat Temple was voted by million foreigners as the first place by different well-known websites:
- In 2014, Angkor Wat Temple was ranked 1st as “The Most Famous Archaelogical and Historic Site in the World” by ArchaeoMadness Website.
- At the beginning of 2015, Angkor was ranked 1st as “The Most Famous Historic Site in the World” by well-known website “TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice”.
- In 2016, Angkor Wat Tempe was ranked 1st as “The Most Cultural Favorite Destination for 2016” by Lonely Planet Website.
- In 2017 and 2018, Angkor Wat Temple was ranked 1st as “The World’s Magnificent Historic Building Site” chosen by TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice.
